New Additions!
I added a few corals and a cleaner shrimp over the weekend.
Orange Green Skirt Zoas: Not sure on the "name", but they are vibrant in person!
Pom-Pom Xenia: I really enjoy the pulsing action of the Xenia. I have it isolated on it's own rock to prevent it from spreading too quickly!
Cleaner Shrimp: I added a cleaner shrimp to add a little more life to the tank!

Introducing Tony!
Tony is the resident Ocellaris Clownfish of the nano reef. I expect him to be the one and only fish in the tank to keep the bio-load low.
I looked at a few different fish options:
Goby/Pistol Shrimp Combo: I thought about having a pistol shrimp and 1-2 gobies in the tank, but I wanted a fish that would swim around all areas of the tank.
Damsel: A damsel is a fish that would swim in all areas of the reef, but I was concerned about the potential aggressiveness to other fish if I upgraded to a larger tank someday.
Cherub Angelfish: I really like Cherub Angelfish, but the size of tank and length leaves not enough swimming room.
Clownfish: Ultimately, I decided on a clownfish. It fit all of my criteria for what I was looking for in a single fish tank. I thought about a designer clownfish, but realized I would be just as happy with an Ocellaris clownfish.

The Nano Reef Has Begun!
The aquarium and equipment is setup and the tank has cycled. I've begun to introduce the inhabitants to their new homes. I decided to try out the new Nuvo Fusion 10g with Skkye 18w LED lighting. For coral species, I'm planning on keeping Softies and LPS and I believe the lighting will be sufficient.

Tony's Nano Reef Introduction!
Welcome to Tony's Nano Reef! Tony is the clownfish living in the reef. I am starting this blog to record the adventures of Tony's nano reef as the reef develops over time. I'll post about the good times and bad (hopefully more of the good!), and review what has worked and hasn't worked for the nano reef!
